STORYBANKING is a specialized business documentation and storytelling service dedicated to African emerging and established enterprises.
We transform the founding journeys, pivotal moments and growth trajectories that define a business into powerful, multi-purpose assets that drive measurable outcomes.
Human capital is at the heart of any business. Through our storytelling we help strengthen and transmit the decisions and cultures that have made businesses succeed.

OUR METHODOLOGY
We specialise in finding, documenting and strategically positioning the narratives and context that define an African business. Our methodology transforms organisational memory into powerful tools for employee attraction and retention, market positioning and differentiation as well as investment attraction and growth.
We follow a 4-phase process, no matter the size of your business.
PHASE 1 I AUDIT
We conduct a thorough audit of the enterprise’s needs with key stakeholders.
PHASE 2 I RESEARCH
The most important phase that lays a solid foundation for the next two phases. Here we collect stories (written and recorded) and artefacts (analogue and digital). If non-existent we create a digital repository. If needed we offer industry-standard digitization of assets for long-term archiving and preservation.
PHASE 3 I STORYBANKING
From the wealth of material gathered, we identify and extract the most compelling and strategically valuable narratives. These carefully curated stories form the StoryBank—a comprehensive repository of purpose-driven content that reflects the enterprise's unique journey and competitive advantages.
PHASE 4 I PRODUCTION OF MULTI-MEDIA ASSETS
We create an array of assets from the themes and stories identified
in phase 3. All assets are fit-for-purpose and targetted at specific audiences for strategic reasons.
OUR
VALUE
We meticulously document the defining elements of an enterprise: founding visions that sparked innovation, pivotal decisions that shaped trajectories and cultural dynamics that drive success. These stories—often held only in institutional memory—become permanent, accessible records of achievement and insight, failure and lessons learnt.

Our commitment extends beyond documentation to active preservation of organizational identity, ensuring that the wisdom embedded in a business journey informs future decisions and inspires continued growth.

If used strategically, storybanking and storytelling:

create clarity
By using a systematic approach to capturing, codifying and leveraging business narratives, an enterprise clarifies its past and future positioning in the market, making clear what it is, and what it is not. This clarity helps all decision-making and resource allocation across the entire value chain.
build trust
Targetted storytelling and tailor-made communication assets can align stakeholders, help navigate major transitions and overcome employee, customer and investor skepticism.
embed company culture and inspire culture change
Storytelling, if strategically employed, can strengthen a company's culture, support succession planning and enable future growth, while the habit of storybanking helps transmit and strengthen cultures that have made businesses succeed.
drive transformation
Storytelling has been used to great effect to support succession planning, scaling initiatives and IPO-readiness.
